Lenzing Modal® drives the underground in London

Underground

The London Underground is the oldest and longest underground network in the world.
The London Tube’s staff will be wearing Lenzing Modal® pullovers this coming winter. The pullovers are available in blue and white and offer pleasant wear comfort.

Goodbye to the tie for one day

October 21st saw the birth of the first ”tie-less” day.
Men wearing ties on the main square of Graz were put into cages while passers-by’s were handed ‘tie-free’ buttons. The goal was to make the statement that ties are no longer in fashion; and simotaniously to promote the use of natural, functional fibers. “Dresscode 21” was presented as an alternative. Its three female designers made the most of the opportunity by creating a very special TENCEL® shirt. No ties were needed, and the result was something very different!

Lenzing Modal® - first-ever spun-dyed rotor yarn for socks

For ladies and gents the spotlight is on black socks like never before.
Lenzing Modal® spun-dyed socks are both economical and ecological. The dye pigment is previously integrated in the spinning mass and guarantees high color brilliance, fastness to light and perspiration values. For the first time ever a rotor yarn has been processed by Avelgemse. It is similar to a ring-spun cotton yarn in terms of the hand, but much better when it comes to ”wash & wear“ properties.

DAAB tests the TENCEL® product range

A wide range of TENCEL® products have been tested beginning with baby sleeping bags, bed linens, pajamas and shirts.
The result was very positive. All of the articles tested received the DAAB test seal. The participants in the product tests confirmed that the itchiness was lowered considerably, and that they would recommend the TENCEL® products in every case. The German Allergy and Asthma Federation has the largest association of patients suffering from allergies, asthma and eczema. Every year the DAAB exchanges experiences with 50,000 afflicted persons. It combines testaments from patients and specialist knowledge from independent experts. The members help companies to develop products suitable for allergies.
