TENCEL® Eco Denim - the ecological solution

Botanic Denim

There’s no doubt that denim manufacturers are under high pressure when it comes to environmental matters.
Lenzing optimizes the production process from the fiber to the finished article of clothing, thereby utilizing the latest findings and technologies to produce jeans that comply with ecological demands. The admixture of TENCEL® to conventional cotton jeans can significantly improve the environmental impact. If just 25% TENCEL® is added to a denim fabric, the area under cultivation for cotton and the water consumption for irrigation can be reduced by a quarter. More detailed information about this can be found at Texworld and Expofil in Paris.

First "SLEEP FACTO®" Award for Advansa

As mentioned in the last edition, Lenzing awarded the "Sleep Facto®" certificate for bedding.
It precisely satisfies the defined feel-good parameters. The first product made in accordance with the specific criteria was developed in cooperation with Advansa. The goal was to produce a bed cover with the very best sleep properties. The Suprelle® fiber from Advansa, blended with TENCEL® offers an ideal material. When the two fibers are combined, a softer cover with better wicking is obtained. It is also more eco-friendly than comparable bed covers.

Lenzing FR® in the Airport Express Hong Kong

HK Express

The Hong Kong Airport Express, which links the airport in Hong Kong with the city centre, has now been fitted with flame-resistant seat covers made of Lenzing FR® fiber for the second time.
Due to a positive experience the first time around, the interiors have been revamped with fabrics in a modified, fresher design on the basis of Lenzing FR®. Among the criteria when selecting materials was the seat comfort offered by the soft, absorbing Lenzing FR® fiber. Compared to synthetic polyester, Lenzing FR® offers better breathing properties.

Summer "KIDDY B-COOL" cover of TENCEL®

The new summer covering from TENCEL® prevents heat accumulation on car-seats.
" Kiddy b-cool " works to keep children cool when indoor temperatures are uncomfortably high. In addition, it is very skin-friendly and the rapid moisture absorption prevents the growth of bacteria. Even at high temperatures, kids' sensitive skin remains dry and therefore, skin irritation is avoided.
