Tencel® in Rainbeau Mars Yoga collection

Rainbeau Mars Yoga

Yoga expert, Rainbeau Mars, has joined forces with Adidas and created a signature line.
Her yoga wear clothing became available in selected specialist stores and Adidas Sports Performance Stores in March 2009. Rainbeau’s clothes are soft, comfortable and brightly colored. The collection has a distinct Indian flair and is dominated by intense purple, bright orange and earthy brown tones. Due to the eco-friendly process and the sustainable materials used, the collection is part of the Adidas “Better Place” program. This consists only of products using sustainable raw materials that are made without dangerous chemicals. In addition, the highest possible workplace standards must be adhered to with established waste and energy management systems. Naturally, TENCEL® is used as an ideal material.

Lenzing Fibers for a “Sustainable Luxury Collection”

Sustainable Luxury Collection

London designer, Pia Stanchina, successfully finished her studies at Central St. Martins College. In her line, “Sustainable Luxury” Stanchina only used bio-degradable or natural fabrics.
The designer used Lenzing Viscose® and TENCEL® for noble t-shirts with flowing looks. The graduation assortment was presented to English experts at the Couture Show of the Oxford Fashion Show at the beginning of May. Pia Stanchina emphasizes the great importance of ecological processing and the natural origin of her fabrics. The entire “Sustainable Luxury Collection” can be found at: www.piastanchina.com

Patagonia – an eco-friendly success story

Patagonia is one of the leading American sportswear brands in outdoor clothing.
It promotes eco-friendly raw materials and transportation. The Footprint ChroniclesTM is an interactive webpage (created by Patagonia), that shows the effects that the processing of a single piece of clothing has on the environment. It outlines the various development and production phases of making a garment. Multiple apparel items are traced. TENCEL® fiber easily complies with Patagonia’s requirements.
